The Story of PLS Print

Our company has a rich history in printing and deep roots.

PLS Print has cutting edge technology and decades of experience. But the story began over 100 years ago in Indiana, when a young widow began working in the bindery department of a print shop as the sole provider for her family. When her son, William Blair, came of age, he picked up the trade of a letterpressman and later learned the innovative technology known as offset printing. William printed wartime materials during WWII. He later turned his hard work into an ownership position in the print shop.

Years later, his son John Blair, continued in the family footsteps and joined William in running the Indiana print shop. It grew into the top print shop in the region, known for high quality and service. They printed necessary materials for some of the nation's largest medical providers.

Later, with his son Andy Blair, they founded Precision Litho Service, Inc. in 1984 in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida. Recently renamed to PLS Print and moved to a larger facility in Clearwater, Florida, our team has continued this time honored tradition of high quality printing excellence. Fast forward to today, and PLS Print is a fifth generation family business.
